Incorporating alternative delivery methods perfectly complements Barnard's philosophy and culture of working with Owners and Engineers early to maximize the value of our experience and knowledge. Through early involvement, open collaboration, and value engineering, we work closely with Owners and Engineers to ensure project success and have been recognized nationally for partnering excellence. Additionally, with our ability to self-perform nearly every aspect on a project, we're readily able to incorporate changes during construction that may arise through collaboration. Our people have the experience and communication skills necessary to be leaders throughout the alternative delivery process. We're currently constructing projects through progressive design-build, design-assist, engineer-procure-construct, and construction manager-at-risk project delivery methods. Regardless of the contract type or whether an official partnering charter exists, we arrive at every jobsite with the same goal: to listen to an Owner's needs and find the best solutions.

On one of Canada's largest infrastructure projects, The Keeyask Generating Station, we contributed to design and constructability during an ECI phase.
Having performed ECI with Owners since 1994, our pipeline group has successfully delivered over 296 projects using alternative delivery methods.
Our power transmission experts specialize in EPC and Design-Build projects ranging from new installation to major upgrades.
Our underground specialists started with a CMAR preconstruction services contract and are now nearly complete constructing the Lake Mead Intake No. 3 Low Lake Level Pumping Station.
